Broast spices or as they are sometimes called “Broasted” in the Levant, is a set of spices and seasonings blended to form a slightly thick sauce due to its flour or breading content. Chicken pieces are well greased with them before frying. After frying, they turn into a crispy layer that bestows the chicken and meat meals, generally, an irresistible wonderful flavor.

How to Prepare Crispy Broast

  • Wash the chicken well using salt and lemon
  • Prepare the chicken marinade via mixing ketchup, mayonnaise, and spices with salt and pepper. Put the marinade in a plastic container and place chicken pieces on top of them.
  • Wrap the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours and preferably for a whole night.
  • Fetch a fry pan and put a plenty of vegetable oil
  • Heat the oil to fry the chicken
  • Bring 3 dishes; put in the first 2 beaten eggs, some flour in the second, and bread crumbs in the third one.
  • Transfer chicken pieces through the three dishes starting with the flour, pass through the eggs, and finally the breading then put them immediately in the hot oil
  • Lower the heat and leave the chicken for 15 minutes.
  • Stir the chicken for a while then place it on special paper to absorb the oil
  • Serve the broasted chicken with potatoes and cola
